Dr. Pusztai Gábor’s lecture on galley slaves

On April 20, dr. Pusztai Gábor, associate professor of the Department of Dutch Studies, gave a lecture in Dutch at a symposium on the Hungarian Protestant galley slaves.

U.S. - Hungarian Course Development

Students at the University of Debrecen (DE) will soon be able to learn about U.S. history through a new hybrid course. The program is being developed through a collaboration between faculty members of the English-American Institute at the Faculty of Humanities. UD, (BTK) and Earl Mulderink, a professor of history at Southern Utah University (SUU), under a cooperation agreement signed last year to promote educational and research projects.

Our international network expands to include a university in Hong Kong

A cooperation agreement was signed on Thursday, March 26, by the leaders of the University of Debrecen and those of the Education University of Hong Kong in order to launch faculty and student exchanges as well as joint research projects in the future. The significance of this agreement is also indicated by the fact that UD is the first Hungarian university with which the institution located in the Far East has signed such an agreement on the basis of successful preliminary negotiations.
