British Ambassador to Hungary's Visit 8th May
Mr Iain Lindsay, British Ambassador to Hungary was invited by the Faculty of Humanities. He gave a talk entitled What's Next? British-Hungarian Relations and the UK's Relation with Europe after the UK's Departure from the EU. His Excellency summed up the history of BREXIT. He noted that Hungarians living now in the United Kingdom and who will arrive before BREXIT becomes reality will enjoy all the rights they have at present. He hopes that the relations in education will not be effected and students will have the possibility to study in the UK. Similarly, the security and defense relations will remain the the same.He emphasized the fact that leaving the EU does surely not mean leaving Europe.
